I know many of you are facebook people but it was brought to my attention that hi5 launched a mobile version of hi5 today. The rationale behind their launch is primarily to provide people in Latin America with access to hi5 who don't readily have access to the internet.

Many say that "love is a feeling, that you feel, when you feel a feeling, you've never felt before." What happens when you don't feel that feeling anymore?
I always wanted to have a girlfriend but wasn't sure what I wanted out of a relationship. " Yeah! She have to look good and know how to dress", I thought to myself but that didn't cut it. I wanted more that!
I saw my brothers and how they flexed with their girlfriends and what stood out to me was the fact that both parties in the relationship were giving and understanding, in spite of circumstances. It wasn't perfect and that feeling that you should feel wasn't alwyas there but they decided to make it work - they persevered. That's when it hit me...love is a decision.
Love goes beyond a feeling and it's a choice we make to accept a person for who they are, valuing them as a person. With this revelation I stopped look for girls that were just hot but girls that were genuinely caring, kind and mentally stimulating among other characteristics. I was no longer looking at the cover of the book I was reading it and the more I read the more I loved it.

Lemonade reminder...
No matter how much I love my favourite hard candy (Jolly Ranchers to di rerl!) I can't stand one more sweet thing when there is no water around. It disgusts me about as much as milky way melted in a diaper. Truth is no one wants one thing all the time. God, in his infinite wisdom, has given me too much variety for that, even in personalities.
When I'm feeling out of place compared to everyone else I remember 3 things: my personality is special for a reason, there are people I can reach that no one else can, and great pictures are rarely painted with one colour.

When reading the bible the characters never really seem to jump of the page and come to life. Even when we read stories of a man parting the water with his jacket ( 2 Kings 2:8 ), lighting wood with no kerosene oil after soaking it with 12 jars of water ( 1 Kings 18:33-36 ) or even a donkey speaking to a man ( Numbers 22:28 ). Can you imagine the new testament accounts?
Truth is I've heard the Jesus story so many times and seen movies - but thank God that He meets us where we are! If it was not for The Passion of the Christ I wouldn't be able to really appreciate what Jesus did and who He is. Sometimes we can't envision these things and need a visual to paint the picture clearly, it doesn't have to be an explict Christian visual. It could be a box office hit, tv series, advertisement or poster.
With that said...

Music is a very powerful tool, not many people are willing to admit it but they remember hooks to songs they used to sing from age 2 or even songs they dislike. Many will say they like a song because it has a nice beat and the lyrics mean nothing but I ask you to consider this! If a typewriter has no ink will it not leave an impact on the paper while the typist types?
What does the bible say about music? Explicitly, not much! The bible doesn't always have to spell things out but it does give principles that can be applied to every situation. In this case it tells us that whatever comes out of a persons mouth should be beneficial to the ones who hear (Eph.4:29) and that our power of speech/song should be used to encourage each other (Eph.5:19).
If life and death is in the power of the tongue (Prov.18:21) what we allow people to speak into our lives can kill us and spur us on toward a greater good.
Purchasing music isn't cheap but check the listings in your media player's radio category (winamp, itunes, wmplayer) and I'm sure you can find radio stations like Radio Y or Tehilla Radio.
There is always an alternative, you just have to want it bad enough!

I've often found the bible to be boring and the stories irrelevant to my personal struggles. As a result I've always searched for new ways of discovering biblical truths.
Reading the bible is good but sometimes as humans we need something to accompany it. Over the years I've come across people, books, tv programmes and even music that helped me to understand the bible. Out of my searching I found God to be relevant and have had the experience of him speaking to me through these various media.
I've found the bible to true, if you seek you will find (Matt.7:7). God is not limited and can speak to us using any medium, he used a donkey to speak to Ballam (Num.22:28).
If you desire to hear God you have to be willing to turn off the noise and listen!

Yesterday I came across an article that noted that there is a worm designed to target MySpace.com and FaceBook.com. I never was a big fan of social networks, but for those of you who are be careful of links sent to you by friends in your network.
The worm is said to resemble that of a video link but requires you to download the latest version of flash player, infecting your computer. Then the next time you log on to MySpace.com or FaceBook.com the worm sends a link to people in your cicle.
The article doesn't say whether or not the worm is threatening.
